International Tea Day 2020 is celebrated this year on May 21. Previously the day was celebrated on December 15, but on December 21, 2019, the United Nations decided that from 2020, the International Tea Day would be celebrated on May 21 every year. The day aims to raise awareness about the cultural and economic aspect associated with tea around the world. On the occassion of International Tea Day we've brought some health benefits of drinking tea daily.

Different Types of Teas With Their Health Benefits

1. Green Tea - Green tea is prepared from the steamed leaves and has a high concentration of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG)which has a positive impact on our health and mind. Antioxidant's of green tea helps in burning fat, prevent clogging of arteries and reduce cholesterol level.

2. Black Tea - Black tea is prepared from fermented tea leaves and has the abundant amount of caffine. Black tea boosts your heart health by reducing blood pressure and also improves gut health.

3. White Tea - White tea undergoes least processing process as compared to green and black tea. The tea is uncured and unfermented. It possesses antioxidant like polyphenol which can reduce the risk of heart diseases.

4. Hibiscus Tea - Hibiscus tea is a herbal tea which is made by steeping parts of the hibiscus plant in boiling water. Hibiscus tea can lower blood pressure, blood fat and boost liver health.
